Although not of the consistent high level of Louis' 1929-1931 orchestra records, there are quite a few gems on this set, including the touching "That's My Home," "I've Got the World on a String," "Hustlin' and Bustlin' for Baby," remakes of "Basin Street Blues," "Mahogany Hall Stomp," and "St. Louis Blues," and the somewhat bizarre "Laughin' Louie." In addition, there are two three-song medleys of "Armstrong Hits."
