The world is as bleak as you would imagine it to be after a zombie apocalypse, but it's the survivors and their struggles(combating the risen dead as well as their own personal demons) that really make this trip totally worthwhile. This book is loaded with believable characters who come alive and might even share character traits with people that you know. I loved it and would recommend it to any horror enthusiast. ***
