Add this copy of Valley (Obscured by Clouds) [Blu-ray] to cart. $51.55, new condition, Sold by Entertainment by Post - UK rated 3.0 out of 5 stars, ships from BRISTOL, SOUTH GLOS, UNITED KINGDOM, published 1972.
In widescreen - as both the director and photographer wanted it to be seen - the lush jungle location makes a ravishing backdrop to this story of friends in search of a secluded valley high up in an uncharted region. Filmed in 1972 La Vallee can be viewed both as an allegorical journey of (self-) discovery and as an illustration of the Buddhist dictum that it is the journey itself that is its own reward (the film ends as the valley is finally found). Although very much a film of its time its status is deserved and should be enjoyed by aficionados of the genre of cult films.
