En el segundo acto, el hogar adquiere tonos sombrios, que se acentuaran en el tercero, decididamente negro-luto, y que tiene su contrapunto expresivo en la muerte de Adela, la mujer que transgredio las leyes de la sociedad y que paga con su vida tal atrevimiento.
