Einrichtungen wie die Organisation f???r wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (OECD) oder das Umweltprogramm der Vereinten Nationen (UNEP) besch???ftigen sich seit einigen Jahren ausgiebig mit der Berechnung des wirtschaftlichen Werts von Tropenw???ldern, Tierarten, Bl???tenpflanzen, unterschiedlichen Bo- denkulturen und allen Arten von Gew???ssern. In den zahlreichen Schriften zum Thema Biodiversit???t, die von diesen Organisationen herausgegeben wer- den, l??????t sich beispielhaft verfolgen, mit welcher Akribie Umwelt???konomen den Wert des pflanzlichen Anteils moderner Medikamente, des Z???chtungs- materials der Agrarforschung, aber auch den Erholungswert von skandinavi- schen Elchjagdgr???nden in US-Dollars auszudr???cken versuchen.
