Who would have thought that one of our "pioneers" and famous sex-researchers was a pervert and possible pedophile himself? Also, it appears, Kinsey was probably a closeted gay and thus needed to legitimize his lifestyle. This is what the research of Reisman has uncovered. She reviewed the statistics and interviewed whoever was still alive from Kinsey's institute, and found evidence that children were locked up and tortured in the lab under his guidance. How else could he state the time it took for a child to orgasm "x" number of times? Aside from the horrors of "research" pedophilia, the most damaging aspect of Kinsey's work has been to legitimize sex as "anything goes" which allows perversions equal value. Perhaps America in the 1950's needed to throw off the chains of its sexual repression and Kinsey's books were published at an opportune time allowing more "freedom" to the masses (this freedom was misguided as history shows). Much of his research was conducted on subjects who were felons and homosexuals; Kinsey appropriated their marginal sexual lifestyles to the general public. This relativism and its normalization of all sex has prolonged and increased sexual misery and an undermining of monogamous heterosexual values. One cannot completely deny that although we have the opportunity to be sexually happy and "free" in this country, one sees much of the opposite occurring: multi billion dollar rise in pornography, the acting-out of juvenile sexuality in public and the frightening rise of male teenage serial killers--who without exception were sexually frustrated and starved. Have we ever heard of one of these sick gunmen with a wonderful love-life? Never, since the two are contradictory. (See the work of Wilhelm Reich on "sex-economy", which states that childbirth and early upbringing in a sex-positive way leads to a gentle and productive adult life). This book is not for closed-minded readers of any political stripe, but for persons who question the free and politically sanctioned sexuality that is so in vogue today.
