A bit different for Ms. Erskine, set in one time period, it is wonderfully researched, beautifully written. I was totally invested with her charactors.
The only confusion I had was with Elen, Llewellen's daughter. After Sharon Penmans treatment of "her" story I had a bit of difficulty getting passed that. But once I did I loved the ride.
