With his army all but destroyed and many of his supporters captured or killed, Robert is forced to flee into the wilderness. He has a crown, but no country; the will to lead, but no real authority. As a fan of historical fiction, wading through this trilogy was at times taxing, at times enjoyable, enjoyable and historically informative. The author, "Robyn Young"
is "young", this being her initial effort, has yet to learn that six hundred page tomes take a great deal of patience on the readers part. I would certainly recommend these books to history buffs with the above caution.
