I'm not finished reading it yet but have already recommended this book to several friends. I'm reminded of General Smedley Butler's book "War is a Racket". General Butler is the holder of TWO Congressional Medals of Honor.

Good not great
Good information on general events and lots of detail (very little new) on WWII figures and events, Very little information on supposed conspiracy to murder Patton - could have fitted in 5 or 6 paragraphs without all the hoopla.
But ... ..Good read if you've little background on WWII, era leaders, and Gen Patton
