This little known CD doesn't limit itself to African, Caribbean, Asian or Latin forms, but draws on all of those things in a very unpredictable way. Its acoustic format is minimalist in nature -- mostly vocals and percussion, no horns, strings or piano -- and the variety of percussion embraced comes from Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, as well as Asia.
