The song "Friends in High Places" is exceptionally well done, although the appearance of guest rapper Steven V. Taylor did nothing to enhance the song. "Friends in High Places" has a strong message presented in a lighthearted and entertaining manner. It is obviously meant to reach those not well versed in Scripture; however, some conservative Christians may consider the lyrics disrespectful since God is referred to as the "Big Daddy." If this term is taken in context with the rest of the lyrics, it soon becomes clear that showing irreverence to God is not the intention of the song or any part of the album.
