this is certainly not the movie you want to watch if you're thinking of relaxing. it's violent, intense, gory and you'll have to put on your thinking cap if you want to keep up with the story. but for the average movie-watcher this would be far too much. lots of death, innocent civilian casualties right and left, it's just the stuff to impact and depress the simple minded... in not such a good way.
in terms of quality, 10 out of 10. superb use of animation and CGI. gorgeous backgrounds, fluid animation, so much rich detail that i think it would have to be re-released in blue-ray to truly appreciate it.
i gave it 4 stars due to content. it's just strange, weird and downright insane. so if you think you can take it, go ahead... just make sure you have a clean pair of pants nearby.
