Seller's Description:
Fine-basically as new. Navy blue cloth with white lettering; color illustrated dj with white lettering; 208 pp. with 80 color plates, 180 bw illustrations and photographs, as well as drawings and a map of the region. Text in English; the Kaitag hail from a small, mountainous region in southern Daghestan. Their art included themes from Zoroastrian, Muslim, Christian, Jewish and pagan symbolism and used mostly brightly-colored silk threads and yarns for their exquisite textile works.
