Handsome 1st edition of this thick biography of the English-American actress (1865-1950). Choice autograph addition: Tipped to blank margin below the frontis-piece portrait is a large handsome Marlowe signa-ture in brown ink on heavy stock bevel-edged 3½" X 2½" card. Though not dated, she signs "Julia Marlowe Taber, " which dates this early example to her first marriage (Robert Taber, 1894-1900). Front flyleaf bears the circular blind-embossed ownership imprint of noted television character actor Robert Casper (1924-2020).
