Good. Green card wrapper with black lettering on front. Two small stains on upper left edge of front and a short tear in the right edge covered with clear tape. Back cover creased. Short ragged tear in right edge of first page, which is wrinkled in the upper right corner. During the Civil War Baker served in the Union secret service and in the cavalry, rising to the rank of major. In 1864 he was captured and spent several months in Libby Prison, Richmond, Va. Compiled from the author's papers by his grandson. Scarce.
