These "Haydn sonatas for harpsichord" from the first part of the composer's career are certainly for the harpsichord -- they date from the 1750s and 1760s, when the piano was still a novelty. Whether they're sonatas is more problematical; they might easily have gone by the names of partita or divertimento, and they involve quite a variety of formal types.
