The precise recording dates of this double-CD set are elusive until one looks at the credits -- the notes give a nice general history of Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, but it's only on checking the production notes (inside of the package) that the modern origins of the recordings at hand become clear. The packaging might lead the unwary purchaser to think these were vintage sides.
