Manly Wade Wellman live and worked half his life in North Carolina, my home state. The stories in this book and other versions of the same(Who Fears The Devil? and Owls Hoot In the Daytime) have an authentic southern voice that a great many writers can't get right. If you want entertaining fantasy stories with a folk music slant, you will love these. Highly recommended.
