All bound uniformly in three quarter red leather and marble boards, top edges gilt with gilt spine lettering and decoration. Illustrated with numerous "contemporary" black & white illustrations. Also includes Index to v.1-10 in back of v.10. Top edges of spines frayed, else a clean, unmarked copy, still a very handsome set. "Stoddard (1850–1931) was an American writer, hymn writer and lecturer who gained popularity through his travelogues. Stoddard was a proponent of the restoration of the Jews to Israel.
