Very Good. Limited edition of 975 copies, this copy is hand numbered, "No. 335" on the page following the half title. Blue paper over boards with paper label; black linen spine and corners in (original? ) acetate jacket, chipped at top corner. Two handsome stylized plates printed in blue-green from drawings by Harold Sterner. Very light mottling at bottom corner, and tiny spot at tip top, of paper label. Light sunning to top and bottom edges. "Dinkytown Antiquarian Bookstore" label in rear, affixed, partially covering a period Gotham Book Mart booksellers mark. A feisty and appreciative review by fellow iconoclast Sinclair Lewis, originally published in abridged form in the Saturday Review, December 1925, citing it "novel of the very first importance". Dos Passos ever remained a staunch Lewis supporter [Pastore] On this end of the timeline, Dos Passos' book is reviewed at "Fractious Fiction a website devoted to radical, unconventional and experimental fiction with a particular focus on the rise of modernism and its aftermath".
