Peiper was a SS officer that didn't quite fit the mold. He would have been an outstanding officer in any army. This book reinforces some preconceptions and inspires doubt that he was a die hard killer for the Fuhrer. I believe that he was a loyal German soldier who was betrayed by his country. Read it and see if you agree.
