Vlad Taltos is a mobster and assassin in the magical metropolis of Adrilankha. A member of the Great House of Jhereg (named for the tiny dragon-like creatures native to Dragaera), Taltos is given the largest contract of his career but the job is even more complicated than he expects. The first book in Stephen Brust's "Vlad Taltos" series, Jhereg has also been adapted into a graphic novel by Marvel Comics. Here, Bernard Setaro Clark brings the tale to life in a rousing performance.

Steven Brust has opened my mind to a wonderful world of magic were Easteners (humans) are looked down upon and the Dragareans rule the land. How Brust tells the story really makes you feel like your right there next to our so called hero Vlad Taltos. Taltos is an assassin that has bought his way into the house of the Jhereg with his quick wits and skills with a dagger he solves the puzzle of the one who stole money from the house council.
When I read any of Brust?s books I can really relate seeing how I love to throw daggers myself and to have a character like that inspires me? Even though being an assassin is no were near the career field I want to go into but it is till interesting none the less. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants a thrill and like puzzle solving.
