The Jesus Bible is the ideal concept. What is Christianity about, if not Jesus Christ Himself? Here is a Bible whose main emphasis is all about Jesus Christ. It is the New Living Translation (NLT). Granted, the NLT is a more colloquial rendering and written on a lower grade-level, or lower reading level than other translations such as the NIV and the KJV. But that is quite appropriate for the intended audience of the Jesus Bible: teens (and perhaps adults who are new to Christian faith and beliefs). The Jesus Bible has articles that expound on and illuminate various aspects of the Scriptures, all with an emphasis on revealing Jesus more clearly -- but in a way that the reader can relate to Jesus, by showing how Jesus relates to the reader! I would like to see this study Bible made available in other translations, including the NIV, NASB, NKJV, and KJV. The companion book, The Jesus Bible Devotional is worth looking into also. This is a growing trend, study Bibles focused on Jesus Christ and how the reader can learn to live more like Jesus. I hope this trend continues. I recommend this book.
