I bought this book for my great-nephew's birthday, based on public reviews, but changed my mind on giving it to him. Instead, I'll donate it to the local library. For all it's simplicity, I thought the "message" was too heavy handed for casual reading by a kid. Maybe in the context of a recent, unexpected family death, or that of a pet, this might be a perfectly appropriate book to open up channels for discussions with children, but as a birthday gift, it wasn't right for me to give.
