According to the introduction, this volume is the result of a study of the private papers of Citizen Genet, and deal with the history of Europe the West Indies, and of America during the last forty years of the 18th century. Jefferson went to France as an associate Diplomat in 1784. This is an ex-library copy from the Sturgis Library in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Marks include white numbering on spine, 1929 bookplate, fading stamps, and title page notations. Very good.
