Very Good. Printed wrappers, 61 pp. with index plus publisher's announcements at rear. Collection of letters between American historian and biography Jared Sparks and French diplomat, historian and author of the classic "Democracy in America". The letters were exchanged bewteen December, 1831 and May 1853 and there is a section on Sparks' observations on the government of towns in Massachusetts. Very good, corner and edge chipping to the front wrap, some pages unopened.
