Fine. First edition. 223, [1] pp. Quarto. Hardcover, original gray cloth with rose-gold letters impressed on the spine, James Henderson exhibition logo on the front board. Pictorial dust jacket depicting portrait of an old man on the front panel, orange spine whit black and white letters. Excellent condition with no major issues. Endpapers including a photograph by James Henderson facing print of his handwriting, rear endpaper includes a collage of newspaper articles by Rosie Riess, 1952. All edges trimmed. Leaves clean and bright with numerous illustrations, landscapes, portraits, photographs, etc. Tight binding. Near fine condition. Including an enclosure letter by Dan Ring gifting a complimentary copy of the publication to Mrs. and Mr. Dempsey, signed by Ring and dated 2010. James Henderson (1871-1951) was born in Glasgow, Scotland and his works are influenced by Scottish Impressionists. He moved to Canada in 1909 and became well-known as a painter of First Nations portraits.
