I laughed out loud on a public bus.
I'm 57 years old, and this is still my favorite book. I read it when I was about 16 years old. I actually laughed out loud a couple of times on the bus, which was embarassing to me at that age.
I guess it's autobiographical, growing up in the 1950's, from around age 5 to 18. He is honest and honestly funny. It was just so real for me. it was made into a movie called The Book Of Love.
