It Is Well represents another transformation in direction without departing from their core Kutless sound. The album may be driven by perfectly fitted guitar work, but the most memorable element is Jon Micah Sumrall's voice. It soars on compelling anthems like "You Save Me," first single "What Faith Can Do," and the title track, a modern cut of the 19th century hymn.
