Resterebbero adesso da esaminare le cagioni per le quali questa Cronica fu appellata Istoria Pistoiese, e da riferire le congetture sapra l'aut01e e tempo in cui fu scritta, e da render ragione dell' ortografia che nel darla alle stampe fa osservata; ma, perciocche que ste cose tutte sono partitamente e a bastanza accen nate nel Proemio che all'antica edizione de' Giunti premesse il Borghini, ci ??? paruto di far opera mi gliore a ristampare quel Proemio medesimo il quale per la eleganza e vaghezza sua ben merita di riveder la luce e d'esser riletto diligentemente da tutti gli amatori della Favella e della Storia Toscana.
