Many books have been glorified and respected by people throughout the ages and centuries. Some were considered important enough to be preserved so that people might benefit from them; moreover, a culture might use books to pass on knowledge in order to maintain the character of a specific nation, whether the books are good or bad - or a combination of the two. In the case of scriptures that Allah (the Exalted) revealed to the people, human beings have attempted to preserve them. I leave the answer to the respected reader. When it comes to the Quran, though, the entire Muslim community (of more than one and one-half billion Muslims) testifies to the preservation of the Quran across the centuries. This little booklet sheds light on various proofs that the scripture revealed to Jesus has since been altered extensively, whereas the Quran is wholly preserved and hence is the only reliable source of divine teachings in the hands of people today - the only one that can be described as 'the word of God'.
