How many times as single women have we cried hot; salty tears because we're tired of being alone? It doesn't matter if we're Christian, non-Christian, or other; these feelings and emotions have no boundaries to any particular gender, race, or religious preference. Although we know that we are never alone and that God is always with us, we still desire an earthly king. We know that God's Word says that our Maker is our husband and Lord of hosts is his name, (and if you don't know - the bible says it right there in Isaiah 54:5) but we still want someone tangible, someone to say, "honey, I know you've had a rough day go lie down and I'll take care of the chores and feed the kids". If you're a single mother like me, you have to be the disciplinarian, parliamentarian, chauffer, cook, tutor, teacher, pastor, custodian, financier, manager, referee, and you rarely find time to breathe and you think, if only Lord you would send me a mate to relieve some of this pressure. So yes, loneliness will try to creep in and settle but prayerfully through the compilation of short stories in this book you will find humor and encouragement as you wait for your earthly king, your spouse. And even if you're reading this book and you don't desire a mate or you already have one; I still pray that you not only find this book encouraging and humorous but enlightening as well. The stories that you will read about are true situations but some of the facts have been changed as well as the name of the characters. Laughter is medicine for the soul. Allow Holy Spirit to minister to your soul through laughter and real life dating situations to help you overcome the battle of loneliness while waiting, to help you combat the "Is this the one syndrome", So grab your favorite snack, your blanket, claim your favorite reading spot whether it's the bed, the couch, outside under a tree or in the park and enjoy.
