Lacks top 1.2cm. of original backstrip; the rest of the backstrip shows some splits and other wear. Some cover foxing and soil. Iracema was translated from the Portuguese by Isabel Burton; Manual de Moraes was translated from the Portuguese by Richard and Isabel Burton. See Penzer's Burton Bibliography at pages 149-150.
