For the first time, a synthetic and rigorous text on the constitutive principles of Lacan's work, which systematically exposes the theoretical-clinical foundations of the inaugural thesis of ???the unconscious structured as a language???. Appreciated for the sobriety of its concepts, disconcerting for its demands for clarity, this exposition contributes to the respect for a work considered difficult to access and to establish a coherent presentation where logical progression is not sacrificed for the sake of hasty simpli or casual deductions. This reasoned approach to Lacan's thesis has no equivalent in the field of psychoanalytic publications. Introduction to the Reading of Lacan retains the imprint of the original methodology: the one applied to the initiation in learning given to clinicians in training (analysts, psychiatrists, psychologists and other practitioners acting in the psychopathological field) concerned with advancing in this psychoanalytic work, supposedly inaccessible. The author, trained in philosophy, logic and psychopathology, directs his work towards epistemological research on psychoanalysis. D. in psychoanalysis, he teaches at the University of Paris 7, where he gives seminars on clinical psychoanalysis.
