This is the first book of an imaginative time travel trilogy with an alternate history. If you're a fan of World War II, time travel, and/or alternate history, this series is for you. Well written and original.

Into The Storm Will Drag You In!
Alternative world stories are popular right now and this one ranks among the best. You can read that Anderson, a Historian has done his homework and has the chops to create believable sympathetic characters.
The opening book in the adventures of the USS Walker will have you up all night, fascinated by a world where humanity, as we know it, apparently did not arise, but were replaced by one of the finest realized felineoid sapients since Andre Norton and by an easy to detest group of reptilian villains.
I so enjoyed this book that I went out the next day and bought the next 2 books in the Destroyermen series just so I wouldn't have to wait to read more.
