Even though it's basically another repackaging of the disco songs Rhino has the rights to, Instant Party: Disco Boogie is nevertheless a fun, funky collection. It's not an especially creative one, however: Chic's "Le Freak," Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing," Blondie's "Heart of Glass," and Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music" sound just as good here as they do on the many, many other dance compilations on which they've appeared.
