Throughout the album, it would seem that Rodriguez is making use of a number of Brazilian aesthetics, most notably through his phrasing. At the same time, his voice remains in more of a Mexican/Venezuelan mode, which doesn't mesh with the smooth phrasing of a samba quite so well. Backing band Los Panchos threaten to steal the show from time to time during their short instrumental interludes.
