His latest label project is called Innerhythmic, and if this sampler is any indication, it's a very rewarding one. Released about halfway through the label's initial run of releases, it looks back at a 12" by Sacred System (with a tabla and breakbeat workout titled "X-Zibit-I"), a stunning live Praxis album (recorded in Warsaw), and the first James "Blood" Ulmer album in several years; at the same time it looks ahead to albums by Gonervill, Suphala, Nicky Skopelitis & Raoul Bjorkenheim, and a bass-and-beats summit with Jah Wobble and Bill Laswell. Just about everything here is excellent; the Praxis track from Warsaw cuts the one from Zurich, and "Wasteland," by Wobble and Laswell, cuts just about everything else with its ridiculously bottom-heavy funk.
