This textbook was the required textbook for my Child and Adolescent Psychology class. It spends an abundance of time on infant and child development, but very little connection with psychology. It would be a good text for a class specifically designed for early childhood education, but not for an upper level psychology course. I feel a bit cheated by the content. In addition, the content flip-flopped back and forth with opinions and research that was in opposition that by the end of the chapter you were left a bit conflicted and unsure of how to process and interpret. With that said, this is definitely not a textbook that should be used in an upper level pyschology course.
