Vanishing Splendor
When architect Cary James set out on a round-the-world trip as a young man, he began in Japan just at the moment when Tokyo's land became more valuable (money-wise) than the priceless building perched upon it.
Many fine pictures accompany this treatise, which explains not only on the building --which was demolished in 1969-- but the creator, Frank Lloyd Wright. The book (to quote the bookjacket) is a graphic reflection of a unique creation of space and form.
