This book, in its time and even now, is unexplainable and way out on the edge. Nothing Farmer, or any other writer to my knowledge, has ever produced matches the mind catching and id crumbling images this book forms. It is amazing. It is phenominal. It is labeled as "pornographic" but let me be the first to say the impact of this novel could not have been formed without it. It is a special book. A unique book. It could very well have been published complete in Ellison's Deadly Visions series of books. If a reader starts the second chapter, I would give odds that he/she will not put the book down again until the work is finished, until every word is digested, until every image is seared into their brain. DO NOT START THIS BOOK IN THE EVENING! Start early because the rest of your day will be lost to it's pages.
