Spine ends bumped, tips still sharp. 527 pp in Unclipped original dust jacket that shows discoloration on beige rear panel, ship and rubbing to dj, Large irregular shaped chip on backstrip. Not exlib. Next vol is 1946-1956, green cloth exlib with marker lines on 3 edges of page block, no dj. This is a reference copy, originally printed 1958, this is the third printing of 1972. 299 p. Third volume is 1957-1966, this is a green cloth hardcover with a gold drawing of an artists paint brushes and pens in a cup, book has bumped spine ends, tips are bumped but not rubbed. No names, tears or soil. 295 pp. Dust wrapper is essentially complete and clean, displays beautifully in new mylar wrapper. Tiny chip at foot of front panel/spine corner. Vol 3 is not exlib. Lastly, vol 4 is a super tidy reference library copy, has a non-faded spot at foot of spine where call tag was carefully removed.
