The Author having for many years been a collector of the drawings of George Frost, and others, of buildings in Ipswich in times gone by, was urged by friends, whose regard for the sketches was as warm as his own, and who thought the time was come for an illustrated work on Ipswich, to publish Copies of the drawings he had in his possession, and thus bring before the present generation the Ipswich of their forefathers.
