An icy wasteland, a fiery girl, and a search....
Wow, I was totally hooked on Kara Swanson's fantastic and fantastical fiction with her Heirs Of Neverland books but this first The Phoenix Flame novel really amps it up. Ignite is one vividly intense story that is a truly wonderful flight of imagination.
Ignite captured me right from the start. From the icy realm with a dying sun to the intricate phoenix culture Kara Swanson once again proves her skill and mastery of fantasy that appeals to teens as well as adults.
Mara's story is one that tugs at the heart and resonates even as it captivates and entertains. And this first book in The Phoenix Flame, not sure if it is a duology or series yet, is very entertaining in all of the best ways.
As you can probably surmise, I enjoyed every minute reading Ignite. I love a good fantasy escape gets my emotions just as involved as my imagination and Kara Swanson has managed that perfectly with her Phoenix Flame tale of fire and ice....
