I have always been fascinated by the naturalists and their travels during the 1800's. This book chronicles the historic travels and writings of Humboldt, and relates his discoveries to other great scientists of the time such as Darwin. It also describes some of the sights and adventures of Humboldt that he describes in his writings. An easy and interesting read for anyone interested in science and the history of nature.
