Good. Hardcover. ORIGINAL 1901 PRINTING. No dust jacket issued. Previous owner's name on front endpaper (dated 1901). Pages clean and unmarked, untrimmed, deckled, with a gilt top-edge. Slightly foxed. First 50 pages appear affected by a liquid spill with light stain, slight rippling (does not affect the legibility of the text) on outer page edge. Light blue cloth covers with gilt decoration show moderate fading, rubbing, scuffing to edges, bumped corners. A small white splotch. Gilt lettering and publishers mark stamped on spine. Binding remains tight, hinges strong (front hinge is beginning to crack near the bottom of the title page). Filled with beautiful illustrations and black-and-white photogravures. Many of the illustrations are on glossy paper. Frontispiece and many other plates have protective tissue paper present. This book is very large.; 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed!
