In addition the chapter on obtaining and organizing information has been extensively revised to incorporate developments in software packages for managing personal literature collections. The final chapter on future developments in scientific and technical information assesses the likely advances over the next decade in the methods used to retrieve scientific and technical information. All illustrations and diagrams have been updated to ensure that the examples represent current sources and publications.
