The book explores and celebrates the holistic posture of Leonardo da Vinci towards considering all things. The author posits that any of us can develop and enrich our own dispositions of whole-mind perception, and thus become more fully actualized in our own giftings. I thoroughly enjoyed the historical background and the suggested exercises included in this book, and as an educator, found the book to be both provocative and practical. I will certainly be more aware of what my big goals are in teaching adolescents, and how I might support holistic sense-making of the "big ideas" in the curriculum.

What a guy
This book is an utterly wonderful presentation about an unbelievable human being. In some ways it gives great comfort to anyone who is ahead of their time in one area or another. There is nothing in any history lesson that allows us to meet this genius in his deepest humanity the way this book does and I think it should be required reading for anyone and everyone but especially those students who are in any advanced placement courses.
