Sitting at a friends house, "How to Speak Southern" was proudly displayed on her coffee table. The cover of the book, the world's depiction of a Southern gentleman, was enough to spark my curiosity. Being from the South, I have forgotten how the rest of the world hears us Southerners talk. After all, people from the North are the ones that talk weird, right? I started reading the book and thought, "Oh God! I talk just like this!" But hey, this is the South...and when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Well, I want you to know that I have never read something so hilarious. It is a must read for anyone, especially if you're from the South. I am going to buy multiple books and give them as gifts to all of my friends. By the way, Paula Dean would be real proud!
