Worth a gander
This is not the best book in its genre, it is written by a left-wing homosexual, with the leanings one would expect, but one thing this book had was a clear exposition in a few pages of the five phases of gentrification, which end importantly in plutocratization. I subsequently found that not so well delineated in Florida's The New Urban Crisis, but it was there as well, in what is a much better book, but this one belongs on your shelf if you want a comprehensive library in this genre
